The Easy Pay Gas Pump Concept

 Overview

The idea of the “Easy Pay Gas Pump” concept stemmed from a 48 hour human factors challenge in which I was tasked with bettering the fueling service interaction from a universal design perspective.

Pain Point

Paying for gas can be unnecessarily difficult and dangerous.

With no standardized user interface customers are forced to reacquaint themselves with the nuances of each setup. These visual displays also become illegible overtime due to lack of regular maintenance.

 Concept

The “Easy Pay Gas Pump” betters the fueling service interaction by removing the most prominent pain point. Making for a truly universal design. This concept employs the same payment process as an “E-Z pass” toll, by instantly scanning a decal on the car's interior when passing through.
